Well, it's official - we are no longer newlyweds! We celebrated one year yesterday and had a wonderful time! John and I headed out Sunday after church to Susquehanna State Park in Maryland. Found a nice campsite, set up camp and started hiking! We had a great camp fire that night and it was soooo peaceful just being! No cell phones, tv, computer... just nice nice! We sat and talked and even spent time praying which was so special. We prayed for all that is going on in our life right now, my job, john's apprenticeship, our future and really just dedicated ourselves and this next year to God. It is such a blessing having John as my husband and being able to spend time in prayer giving all our worries over to GOD!
Monday we hiked some more and then went to a diner for a late lunch. Came home to our aging kitty cat, got ready to go out for a nice nice dinner at the Melting Pot!!! John surprised me - it was delicious!!! AFter dinner we came home to eat our wedding cake - which we didn't get t o eat on our wedding day!!! and we watched the video that Wesley and Sandra had made of our wedding day! oh, the laughs! Later in August we will continue celebrating at an Alison Krauss concert!! FUn FUN!!! :)

Your wedding day was one of the sweetest things I've ever witnessed. The two of you triumphed in the face of tummy adversity and a lovely time was had by all.
I'm glad you've had a good year.
I suspect Year Two will be even better.
